It’s been a while sicne I’ve written so I have many things to explain. I went to Catemaco again and I have been bored on many days but if we take a look at the big picture I am truly happy.

To explain what I did in Catemaco I just took some pictures because one picture tells more than 1000 words

What doesn't belong to the picture?

I had to wake up around 6 o'clock because we were leaving early and we ate breakfast in this mercado. We ate tamales. <3

The laguun :)

I took this picture when we had a little stop on our way that took a couple of hours.

Chile bush

After some driving we arrived to the jungle and J's mom asked us if we knew what it was. Chilee!!!

Princess of the jungle... haha just kidding

So we really were there in the jungle and I think that the place has been used in many movies. They actually had like a celebrity wall where was pics of celebrities in this place.  We had a guide who explained us about everything. We saw statues (that were not originals though) and we got these facemasks. I learned new things about Mexico that's for sure.

After the guided tour I saw Oli writing in the guestbook in czech so I decided to write something too.

Then we took one of these boats to see the monkey islands and it was quite awesome. When I was told that you can see monkeys swimming I thought that maybe sometimes but not always... but

That's a swimming monkey in the water.

1250813937_img-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998eday After the boat trip we arrived back and we noticed that some people had taken mask in whole body and not just on face like we did.

After some driving and eating icecream. (btw icecreams are so good here like the ones that are sold in little shops in the street) We arrived to the waterfalls. well we also had to walk down like 200 steps but anyways

Some people were swimming there and because it was so hot I would have loved to do that too but I didn't.

1250814622_img-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998eafter We just had our feet underwater. (btw that's vicente's foot)

After climbing up the same 200 steps that we walked down were exhausted and thirsty. I think we all were happy when Oli bought a bottle of water and offered us too. Then we drew to the hotel that's below

Oli is into floorball and she took to bats and balls to Mexico too. So finally we ended up playing floorball... if you can call it floorball with our conditions. We were playing on the grass and 2 were playing with real bats and two with badmington bats... but nevertheless I played in the same team with Oli and it was quite fun because we won the Mexicans quite nicely because they had never played floorball before. We were very tired after all that laughing and running.1250815277_img-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998e

another pic of the laguna taken in the hotel. In the evening we left and drove back home

After Catemaco I would have liked to sleep long but I couldn’t. I had to go to work for Rotary (work for an exchange student who cannot speak Spanish =sitting and being bored) It was a campaign to prevent cancer that is caused often by papilloma-virus. So I listened about 2 hours of sex-education with other rotarians and 10 adult women (who after that got tested for sex diseases). I have to say that the whole stuff seemed so simple and clear to me after the lessons that we have in Finalnd on 9th grade so I really wonder if it was necessary to explain all that or don’t they really know??! “This is clitoris, this is a-hole...” “How do you not get sick? Use comdoms!” well maybe they just don’t know.

Then the sad part: Vicente and Jessica are gone. :( On Monday I went to the airport to say goodbye to Vicente. Jessica cried and I think we all felt sad even though I know it will be such a great year for him so I also felt good because I know he will be so happy there in Brazil. Jessica left on the next day so I spent the rest of the day with her, Morgane and Oli.

We went to search for a bag with Jessica for her school in Taiwan and for travelling.

We also had a modeling session with Jessica’s father who is a photographer. We all got pictures in two different Mexican traditional dresses. I loves the white one that loooked a bit like a wedding dress because it was so white and fluffy but it was pretty. The other one was more masculine and it had a sombrero. We took the pictures in front of a pyramide and as a professional photographer Jessica’s father told everyone to leave the pyramids so we could take our photos. xD I really did feel like a real model and I guess it did look quite professional because one guy asked us if we were shooting a commercial or what. :DDD Later we saw the pics and they were actually quite cool. I don’t have them yet but maybe I’ll add one when I get them.

I didn’t have the opportunity to say good bye to Jessica in the airport so I said good bye in the Rotary meeting... but I guess that when you leave on thing behind you will find another one. I met Victoria. She’s the one that I wrote about in “facebook stalking gone wrong” Now she is here in Coatza too and she will be in the same school with me.

Yesterday I was having another evening home bored and I was watching a random movie from the tv. Mt mom knocked on my door and I answered a bit irritated, tired and bored: “¿¿Sí??” she opened up the door and I was truly surprised. Lucas, Eha (from Estonia), Bruna (from Brazil), Morgane were all there and I greeted them in my home look (=makeup fails, clothes very random, hair messy, my room behind me very messy) I really couldn’t care less what I looked like though. I was just happy to see them. They told me that they had been trying to call my mom whole day (that’s why I want a cellphone) and they had even sent me a message in facebook but I had ignored facebook for the whole day. It all was because it was Bruna’s bday and they wanted me to come to the party with them. So I put on my shoes and I was ready to go.

I had a fun evening with them. It felt like I was talking with a Finn when I talked with Eha because she spoke English in very Finnish sounding accent and when I spoke Finnish she understood almost everything.

I guess that’s about it for now folks.

PS. Mañana voy a la fiesta :D
